So, my initial plan was to read my offline books before I start using the Nook...but time passes, the nook was gathering dust and my unread books didn't decrease drastically. Conclusion was to charge the nook and start using it. Now I am reading the Greek mythology! Super awesome!

It's a pointlesss question to ask for the time when you feel fit and healthy but what about the times when you have headache and your nose runs?
Well I was thinking that all consequences from working out are always
positive but not long ago I read that in fact it can have bad effects
if you have a cold. On the website of SHAPE I found the following
advice, which I thought was worth sharing:

First, figure out your symptoms. In general, a sickness that causes above the neck symptoms — like a headache, congestion, or a runny nose — means you can exercise. Saturday was fun and full with activities, traveling to Brno and back, meeting some ex colleagues in Prague and hanging out at the local pub. The weather was bad and it was raining so was wet yikes! Anyway, on Sunday I woke up and soon after started to feel so weak, such a hue headache, cold etc..that I was hardly able to do anything. I am not sure which weekend it is in a row with me surviving half of it and the rest fighting a cold, headache :(
Working from 7 today and to be honest I am already picturing myself being in bed before 22:00 ;:)

I am not saying that Batman, Cat woman, Hulk or Hell boy are incompetent... I am aiming to draw your attention to all those people, you meet at work, at the university or just somewhere along the way who surprise you with the LACK of grey matter in the upper part of their body, a hollow space and sometimes just too hollow, referred to as a head and brain.

According to Dale Carnegie each person or individual along many disadvantages has something he/she is very good at and instead of focusing on his/her weak sides we should try to focus on the good and strong sides a person possesses. I am convinced that such an attitude, full with patience will get you far and it is the right thing to do but I can't help but get annoyed on people who seem to have no motivation to do anything! And I recently noticed that it is my problem. It is my problem that I expect that people are at least on the same level as I am. Same level of being motivated, responsible, conscious, willing to learn and ambitious. Not that it is anyhow connected but I suppose that one of the drawbacks of Communism was/is that you don't do a favor to anyone by giving the same opportunities to everyone.
Some people just don't deserve them. Some people just don't know how to ask for more. How do you motivate the daring individual who has balls when you give both him and the lazy bum same opportunities and chance?

Not that I am a Feng Shui follower but not long ago I found out that it matters what colour your wallet is so it attracts more money.
The following lines I have taken from a website:

Looking at my new wallet I might consider turning into a Feng Shui follower...the only thing that bugs me is it says you should remove all the cards like driving license etc not to 'distract' the energy. Not sure this works but decided to share it so the obvious bragging seems less obvious:)

My new weekly notebook diary! I was checking today on the website which one would be best for me and I choose this option: weekly diary notebook. When I was at the bookshop the only option was the Pac Man limited edition. It wouldn't be my first choice but since I wanted to have it straight away half hearten I bought only to discover later on what a great notebook it was. The weekdays are listed on the left and on the right there is space for taking notes. What a great way to comment and write down some memories:) A friend commented I should get a smart phone but I am not sure a fancy Moleskin notebook can be replaced by a smart phone ;)

Christmas decoration

The other day when I was in Brno I couldn't not notice the beautiful Christmas decoration. There we pine tree cones and they looked great. So once I saw it I messaged my boyfriend straight away and asked him to bring some from his parents garden. Now I got a bag with cones and a golden and a silver spray! Two golden cones are currently drying on the balcony right now! And to make things better it turned out that among the "useless crap" Martin stores in the storage there is a glue gun! This years Christmas tree decoration will be hand made ;p Can't wait to start with that!!

constipation. Ops, did it come out of nowhere? ;o) In any case flax seeds are a super good source of Omega 3 fats, I found out. A spoon in the yogurt flax seeds a day makes the constipation stay away. And they taste quite okay. I am just wondering as I have read on many sites that you need to grind them as otherwise you don't absorb the 'good stuff' ...what if you chew them super much...is it the same?

Hm, I guess I should have started much sooner with the facial care but better late than never. Anyway, now I am equipped with a hydration cream as well as one for the first wrinkles. I think besides the few on my forehead I don't have others. Maybe I have been making too many 'what the fuZk' faces or 'are you serious'...not sure.
I have been using those 2 creams for just 2 days and I picked up the brand as I have cleansing water from Avene so I thought it will be good combination. For the 2 days I am using the creams I can only express my satisfactions as my skin feels silky soft.

And last time as my hand cream is about to finish I went to the drug store and was offered bigger or smaller tube hand cream, I went for the big one and ended up with this one, which is a face and body cream for super dry skin. In fact I was wondering how come I leave greasy stains on the keyboard and desk after using it...don't have the same with the normal hand creame and finally I got to read the label more careful. Anyways here is the Avene Cold Creame

And last but not least I have the soap bars Avene Cold which I should use for my hands but need to look for them as after the move they are stuck somewhere. Somehow I find soap bars a bit unpractical because they get soft if they stay in a wet place and it is not so easy to keep them in one piece. Ah well

Hope you find this 'babbling' a tiny bit useful. I wonder how my skin will feel after another few days of using the cream. The anti wrinkle cream should be used only at night and should be used for continuous 3 months!

I am not sure if I have mentioned this until now but I find it so entertaining to check the profiles of my ex-colleagues on websites like www.LinkedIn.com. Most of the time though there is a worrying tendency that can be noticed. For me it is worrying because people not only exaggerate, assuming that exaggerating is in our human nature, but lie! I can see on so many profiles obvious lies that it makes me wonder when their last reality check was.
What happened with being honest? Are you embarrassed about your previous job? Do you think it is okay to lie about your years of experience? Oh wait, I thought you did the job for only half a year but your profile says you have experience in this area for the last 3 years! I believe that since you can lie on your LinkedIn profile then you have a thing for lies and maybe tell them now and then to save your ass or to look smarter ?
I am not sure why you got the need to do that but hey...you are the liar ( fyi urban dictionary definition for liar is the lowest of life) deal with it :)

As you see from the list above I have all conditions to get back on track and start the new phase in my life of living healthy and loosing some weight. I decided to start training with personal trainer again. Last time I did it was 5,6 years ago. I did it for 3 months and then I thought I can do it on my own and I failed. Nevertheless, for the time I trained I had noticed positive changes e.g. I was full of energy, I became stronger, etc...Right now I don't remember the changes on my body as to % of body fat etc even though I was measured back then with a caliper.
But as said I failed to keep the habit of going 3 times a week to the gym.
Few years later, now, I have decided that I need someone to kick me in the ass and the only thing in my opinion which would work would be to start training with a personal trainer. I signed up for a period of six months. Actually quite some long time to ensure I will gain habits and keep them. I am training currently two times a week with my PT and I need to go at least once by myself to the gym. Good thing about my gym membership is that the gym I am going to also offers different classes like zumba, yoga, etc. and there is a 18 meter pool as well. I didn't try the pool yet but the thought of going in the pool after a sweaty and exhausting training is soooo tempting. I decided to start in December already which is a bit of a challenge with all the Christmas markets, Christmas parties and Christmas itself. This month my training is not so regular as I have been on a business trip for a week and I am going home for another nevertheless it is a start and I already can't wait for January to come!

I do think that my blog misses pictures. Not for the sake of showing you but I think it will go much better with the text. I would like to finally buy a new phone but I will wait till September because just before Christmas all the money needs to be spent on presents :)

Getting more used to Prague. Today checked one mall in the city, did some Christmas shopping so few more things and I am done :)

Regarding the shoes...the next day after I bought them I ran after work home to try them and they seemed okay. The leather is amazingly soft. I guess they are worth the pricey price.
As I had mentioned in some of the last posts this week 2 Christmas parties took place. One was in Frankfurt in a five star hotel named Hessischer Hof. We had a four course menu and it was yummy yummy! This was on Wednesday, Thursday I came back from the business trip and Friday was another Christmas party in Prague this time. There was a Czech popular singer from the eighties , David Michal, who apparently majority of the people here hate, there we naked chicks dancing and transvestites performing...Interesting indeed. The theme was to dress as a star...I didn't dress up but oh well. Didn't win fro the raffle either. Anyway this was my first official night out in Prague, as I said I am getting used to the city ;p

I bought a new pair of shoes...have two days to figure out if I need half size bigger or not. I have heard that people have swollen legs in the evening after walking all day but I think for me it is just the opposite. It happened once that I bought a pair of shoes in the evening, fitted okay and the next morning when I tried them on I couldn't squeeze my feet into them....let's see if history repeats itself.
Anyways here are my new ankle boots:

I needed something simple for everyday use but given the price I guess this pair will become for special occasions :D

It gives one such an energy boost! Today I am working since 7 so I hardly can keep my eyes open. Last year I remember going to bed at 22 latest:) now that I sometimes have to work till late I am going to bed not sooner than midnight..and getting up at 6 was painful! Nevertheless, I get to start my weekend sooner :)
Monday will be another early waking up...have a flight at 7:20..hopefully the CSA pilots stop striking otherwise I will not get to meet my colleagues and go to the Xmas celebration :(

As we have moved to a bigger flat it is finally time to get ourselves a nice big couch so we can watch movies comfortably in the living room as well as to provide bigger comfort to our guests:) Until now we were using a humble version of a couch, extendable, quite uncomfortable but servings its purpose. Time for upgrade!
Hopefully we find what we are looking for. It will be a lot of testing today:)
I am trying to figure out how to use some empty space in the hallway. What is the point of having a huge hallway? Yes, it is spacious but it is a space you can't really utilize...the only option I can think of is to buy another "Malm" and place it to one which is already there but Ikea has decided to not produce any furniture in this particular colour that we have our "Malm" in...The other thing will be to move this dark brown in the living room but the rest of the furniture is in a lighter colour so it won't match... ajaja headache :) I wish I could use the help of a designer who would help me get the most out of our flat but dream on...now back to reality and off to a couch hunting adventure!

I use the dry shampoo as my hair tends to get oily in the roots already on the 2nd day which is not a big deal in summer but in winter it is quite annoying to have to wash it that often.

The hand cream is perfect for dry hands as my tend to be during the winter months.

So as you eventually might know I got engaged at the end of January. Ever since few things changed a bit. My boyfriend is now my fiancee and I am engaged. Nevertheless I often still refer to him as my boyfriend in conversations with other people. It just feels easier to say and I don't have to answer questions, assuming there are any.
I do enjoy though telling the story of how I got the ring, my precious:) I wasn't wearing rings until then but now I do. I even found out that the ring has to be cleaned as a lot of dirt manages to get in the place below the diamond, as well as that white gold is not a hard metal because my poor ring got a bit scratched :(
So I know already what the wedding rings will be made of ;)

Another funny thing with getting engaged is that one has suddenly two anniversaries to celebrate. I don't plan to stick to one. I would like to still celebrate the day we meet as well as the day we got engaged:) Actually none of us remembers when our first date was so we always pick up some day at the end of July and celebrate then. Not sure if some couples do have a day and actually what counts as of 'beginning of the relationship'? Ah well.

My brother and his girlfriend are going to spend New Year's Eve with me and Martin. No plan yet but what matters is that we will spend it together! Super excited and looking forward to it!

Tomorrow I will go to the doctor again. Only week after I stopped taking antibiotic my throat hurts again! How lame is that? :(
This time I plan to go before my throat hurts insane much and hopefully I get something which can stop whatever party is going on in there...my tongue is all white, can't be good.
I have a business trip in a week from now and then I am going to a company Xmas party in 2 weeks. Ah well...keeping my fingers crossed..for myself. Don't understand what happened to my immune system. The whole summer I was feeling fine and then since end of September it's now the third time that I have a whatever, last time it was bacterial infection...Yikes!
Anyways, dinner time. Omelet it is for a 4th night in a row, this time with mushrooms.

I am back from the road trip. Wasn't on a road trip until now but it was great. You get to visit many places at once. Good thing is that I was taking pictures because I am a little confused from all the things we have seen. Actually few years ago I spent 2 weeks in Leipzig on a training so it was a bit more familiar so as Berlin which I managed to visit in that time as well for a day.

Dresden is beautiful. Small but neat with a lot of things to see like the Green Vault, which we left for another time. Autumn isn't the best time for sightseeing not only because you freeze outside but because all the trees and parks look a bit sad as well.
Nevertheless we managed to enjoy ourselves. I had misjudged the weather and had taken my winter jacket but seems it is good to wear on minus temperatures only as I kept on sweating. Well I bought a coat. Navy blue, with hood and long one.
Leipzig is the city where Johann Sebastian Bach lived and worked.
Next on our agenda was Magdeburg. We visited Hundertwassers house known as the Green Citadel. We also made several attempts to find the water bridge and luckily at the end we succeeded. After that we headed to Berlin. There was a bit delay on the way due to a burning car on the highway. How freaky is that. It never crossed my mind that the car you ride in can catch on fire and I hope I don't experience it. Once we were in Berlin we wanted to check in and on the way to the hotel we ended up in some shady neighborhood full with prostitutes at 18 o clock. Found it a bit weird. Luckily there was a problem with our reservation and we were sent to another hotel. This relieved me a lot :)
We went for a walk in the evening. We couldn't visit the parliament as apparently you have to book it several days in advance but we made it to the tv tower which was above 200 metres. The next day we went to see 'Checkpoint Charlie' and the museum called topography of terror...brutal things were happening during the years before the second world war...and when you think about it ..it is only 70,80 years ago only. Glad people made such a progress!
The way back was smooth. 4 hours after departing from Berlin we were already home :) knock knock...
We had too little time to check so I guess we will be going back again but we will choose a better, warmer time of the year :)

I have been suffering from a soar throat for the last 5 days, took Strepsils, sprayed Bioparox... until I got so pissed that nothing changes and went to the doctor. As a result I got antibiotics and sick leave. Pity that the first three days of a sick leave are not paid but at the end screw the money, let's get healthy. I am just writing this to tell about the antibiotics...after 2 pills the throat pain is gone already! w.o.w and god help my liver!

Yesterday I was flying Sofia - Vienna - Prague. I thought that between the Vienna Prague flight I will have a bit more time to go to the gate. Instead it was a rushy experience in which I was speed walking like crazy, asking people to let me in front of them as I am late for my connecting flight. The scanner on the security check point "broke" but luckily after my things were out. Anyways, just wanted to say if you have a connecting flight, with short times in between, always try to book a place in front of the airplane (Online check-in). Like this in case you get off the plane via sleeve you have faster escape time than if you are at the very back of the plane-then your experience will be even more rushy as it will add another 5,10 minutes against you :)
The other weird thing was than the plane was landing in Vienna and suddenly you could see,feel, that it is taking off again. This was weird but it was due to another airplane blocking the way.

Diploma work...

So I received feedback regarding my diploma work. Applied the needed changes and received green lights today that I can hand it in. I feel a step closer to holding the diploma for my master degree in my hand. I hope it is just not an illusion.
When I finished my bachelor study I had a state exam, written and oral but still exam. You get a topic if you have studied you know what to write if not...pech gehabt, you fail and try again. Now will be my first time defending a diploma work. I feel a bit worried as I am not sure how it really goes but on the other hand I have had experience in teach ITIL courses in front of 12-15 people audience so I think the diploma defense itself should be more or less okay.
Well nothing left than wait and see...

It said it doesn't on middle brown hair but it does! The one benefit is that my hair got a bit dry which is highly welcome as I have greasy hair. The other thing is that I realize I do like my natural brown color :)
I just saw a review about it on Youtube, where a girl said she had an allergic reaction from that product :( That sucks but then lately in the news were several cases of people suffering death or heavy alergic reactions after dying their hair..

So, I finally finished my diploma work and send it for feedback. A bit worried what I will get as an answer. So much I want this to pass, then I can finally breathe out.
My plan for November is to take advantage of the offer at work about the discounted gym membership, so close to my place, explore the city and start with Czech lessons.

Going next week on vacation... Turned out that flying from Prague home is even bigger pain in the ass as it was from Brno. I was always complaining how there were no direct flights and the only option was flying from Vienna, which meant paying for a bus ticket and spending 2,5 hours on a bus. Well, now that I am in Prague there are direct flights but their prices are insane. God bless Austrian Airlines.. :) I will be flying again with them, the flight won't be a direct one and I would need to change in Vienna but what the heck I will gather more miles and no way I can get home any faster...
Looking forward to the double flight:)

Finally in Prague. This city is beautiful. We passed through the city centre on Saturday as we were coming back and I am afraid Prague beat Vienna in the most beautiful surrounding cities competition.
Saturday we drove to Heidelberg on our way back from Frankfurt to Prague.
Was amazing weather and a very beautiful city.

I have had a quite intensive summer...started a new job, moved to Frankfurt for a 3 month education, traveled each 2 or 3 weeks back to Brno, in the meantime moved to Prague, visited a friend in Zurich, had my parents visit me...
Now all this will end in a day.
Tomorrow I have my last day of education, then dinner with the colleagues and on Saturday I go to Prague to start my new life there.
I am curious how it will be. I have a diploma work to take care of and a cold to fight. If all goes well November will be my month...relaxing and doing nothing :D

Have got just one more week left and I will be leaving Frankfurt, the city where summer had no mercy and presence this year:)
I am currently writing on my diploma work, somehow due to bad time management from my side I got to be ready by middle of October but I think it is going well.
When I finished my bachelor I had the state test, so writing diploma is my first experience like that.
Bought ankle boots yesterday. They had this great deal in Goertz that if you make a card with them you get 20% off...how cool is that :D Plan to visit the shop once again during the week ...

Parents visit

My parents visited me last week and it was supeeer great :)
I had big shock after they left to adapt once again to be alone. I always have this one day when I readopt. Every time I go to Bulgaria it takes me a day to get used to and once I go back to Czech I need another day when I feel home sick already and miss my family...Ah jo, tough life of living abroad.

Anyways,the time my parents were here was great. I had breakfast prepared, I had someone waiting for me to come back from work, someone who cared about me, someone who got me a Hello Kitty towel- perfect!
Well as all good things also this one ended but as said I am back on track.
Now my main focus should be the diploma work, which should be finished ASAP so I can defend at the end of October.
Other than that two months have already passed since I am in Frankfurt, sometimes I wonder how time passes that fast...amazing. One more to go and hopefully all will be good. September will be a busy month as said diploma work has the top priority and then I will be moving the upcoming weekend, the next one I will visit a friend in Zurich, weekend after that I will be in Czech Republic and then one weekend here and off to my new life in Prague.
By the way I haven't been in the new flat so now on Sunday will be premiere :)
This became a 'dear diary' post but what the heck :)
Last but not least after two months in Germany I have the feeling that my German improved but my Enlish regressed. Have hardly spoken, written any English...

Yuhuu! My boyfriend was in Prague on Saturday and the deal is sealed. We got our flat!

Now few details have to be clarified e.g. when do we move out of the current flat etc...but all will be fine :)

I feel so powerless from the virus I got :( have few days to fully recover and face my new challenge :)

Made an appointment at Yves Roche for face cleansing and later I booked time at Tony & Guy for a haircut. Didn't get a haircut in ages so I think my hair needs it even though I want it to grow longer. Last time I got a great page haircut so I trust them that they can do it again :)

So the conclusion after one year is that if you are not tough enough some ridiculous, limited and crazy people will try to push you down, for no obvious reason and they will succeed. I guess it craves a lot of pro activity and perfection to tell them fuck off I know what I am doing. I feel that I learn my life lessons in a slow pace.

The best about Brno is that it takes less than two hours to reach Vienna by car.
And Vienna is a great city. Huge, beautiful, entertaining.
Speaking of entertaining in Albertina there was exhibition of Mel Ramos and Roy Lichtenstein and in Kunsthaus Wien, only till the end of the month now, you can see Giger's sick creations...as well as Hundertwasser's creations which are I believe permanently exhibited there.
Was a good day, the rain didn't catch us and the sun was with us.

Boooring activity but needed :) I have a quite old notebook with only 80 gb so it's always a pain in the ass to download stuff and to make sure there is enough space. Several months ago I received a cute pink external hard disk with 500 gb so today all morning long I am moving and trying to sort my pictures...Finally I have decided to have them sorted by name of the place + month and year they were taken at.
I guess I will continue next weekend coz it's taking a lot of time!

Keeping it still on the health topic I am watching lately Nurse Jackie. Series about a good hearted nurse who takes drugs all the time...who cheats on her husband so she removed her wedding ring every day when she gets to work and once she forgot to remove it so in on order to keep it a secret from her boyfriend at work she asked to have her ring cut and then smashed her finger with a hammer. I am giving you ideas ;-)

They have in several cities around Czech Republic and one of the gyms in Brno is like few min away from my flat. If this is not a good enough reason to be regular at the gym than I really don't know.
I have a bit of personal dilemma as last time I was going regularly to the gym was with a PT and he was promoting free weightlifting. At this ladies gym of course there are only machines and everything is purple but what the hell...obviously I am not doing anything so I think this can be a good start:)
