Info!!!
For all Bulgarians who work in the European Union , be aware that you have to present
a form E104 in Bulgaria as evidence that you are insured somewhere else.
Step1:
https://inetdec.nra.bg/pls/pub/home.html#/selectService:6,2,rep.HealthStatus.home
Check until when you were insured
Step2:
Go to your insurance company and request this form. If you are insured by vzp, it's just across Student Agencies bus stop. Get on the first floor, take a number and wait.
Good luck :)

If you are eager for some sleva
Check out this website. It shows each day one action in Brno, Prague or Bratislava.

Balloon flight!
Just came back from the 2nd attempt, this time successful, of a balloon flight.
We were supposed to fly last friday but it got cancelled due to bad weather.
The new date we got was yesterday. So we gathered on the announced place, they took the balloons out but turn out there is a storm nearby so it got cancelled again and today even though in the morning it looked like the worst autumn rainy weather we made it in the late afternoon!
I was really afraid to fly but what I will say is that it's a piece of cake. The roller coasters are scary, balloon flight is easy.
I will show pictures but tomorrow.

The advantage of having 30 degrees in the flat is that the laundry dries in less than a day. (given the fact that you live in a small flat without balcony:)

4 more night and my single hood will finish and I am looking forward to it!
Hi, my name is Valentina and I am single...for the last 14 days and the next 3 :)
My boyfriend is in South Africa.
I joke that now I am single and thing is that I live the way I did in the time before my boyfriend, which means make the best to entertain myself when I am bored, count on myself and deal alone with simple things like pumping my bike tires etc...
I am glad that we are short term separated because I have time to appreciate and see things the way I saw them in the beginning of our relationship.
Things I discovered for the time I was/am alone...
1.I am not afraid to sleep alone in the flat
2.I don't clean as much as I do when he is here unless someone comes over
3.I find weekends eventually less boring when I am alone
4.I am really glad we are together
5.I kick ass on Mario Cart
6.Life in two has thousand of advantages but even in single mode the majority of things are manageable
7.My social life revived

Sex and the City 2
On Friday I went to the movies to see Sex and the city 2.
About the movie I'm not gonna say much. See it for yourself but somehow was a bit sterile.
What I saw is that Mr.Big can't take his eyes off the TV even though Carrie walks around half naked and yeah this was calming down a bit as it happens to me too...:D
Carrie kissed her ex and confessed to Mr.Big who in return even though being a bit upset gave her a huge ring to remind her that she is married.
Do you guys think it will work in real life too?:)))

What a lovely weather in Brno
Friday, all day the sun was shining...but in the evening it started to rain. Yeah there was a rainbow, even a rainbow reflection but thinking that all weekend weather will be like this sucks. It's I don't know which weekend in a row with no sun and rain.Enough!
5 days have passed and 13 more to go. I guess I made a wise decision not to take HO during this week so I kept myself busy at work.
Hopefully these days will pass fast.
Now I will work on the movie list for tomorrow...at the end if it will be only rain, that's what I will be doing:) movies, books..and yeah I have to finally clean my closet.
Any movie ideas?

Czech Republic won the gold medal
Remember 1994? When Bulgaria won the Football Championships and people were going mad on the streets? Today I experience the same but in Brno. Will be a loud night. No sleeping on open windows.
Well done Czech Hockey team!

Shangri-la exhibition @ Olympia, Brno
Entrance fee : 200 crowns, on weekends 230 crowns
http://www.sangri-la.cz/
In the description of the exhibition you see the following
'Vedle vycpaných zvířat uvidíte živé krokodýly, hady, želvy, ryby, líheň tropických motýlů v expozici horského pralesa a také živou džungli s orchidejemi, lotosovými květy, banánovníky či kávovníky'
I read the description above and decided that even though the entrance on weekend is higher price it's worth seeing...sounded so interesting - snakes, crocodiles, etc... Once we get there we saw..half stuffed tiger, 1 snake as small as worm and 2 mini crocodiles, smaller than our pintcher...there were no butterflies, no lotus flowers, no turtles and no orchidea
I am a bit disappointed and I wish people would be a bit more honest.
Not recommending to go there unless u r really bored and have got nothing else to do.

Somebody broke into our car!
On Monday we went to the car and then we saw the all the stuff which usually are kept in front spilled on the front seat... I lost my sunglasses which had more emotional value as I had bought them few years back in the States...they took Martins cable for the GPS...the worse thing is that there are no signs of somebody breaking in...how these people got inside no clue . The worse thing is that it's the second time that somebody breaks into the car and last time the car was parked on the same street...
Last time they took the chains...
Anyhow but guys Brno city centre is not safe!

Are you able to dance Horo?
The only type of horo I can dance is the 'pravo horo'. At the wedding yesterday I was impressed by the skills of other young people...So question is
are you able to dance horo or u r lame as me in that?:)

Wedding #1
The first wedding (out of the 3 in total we will be attending) was yesterday.
A Bulgarian guy was getting married to a Czech colleague of mine.
Me, Martin and a friend drove to the house of the bride to be. We were meet there by the relatives of the bride. We were offered sausages and sweet stuff.
The guys decorated the car. Me and my friend finally got to see the bride.
Other guests started to show up as well. And last but not least the groom appeared with his family and friends.
According to Czech tradition the groom has to be in the car, followed by the guests and in the last car - the bride.
In this order we made it from the brides home to the castle in Lytomysl. Again according to some tradition the bride is entering through the main entrance, as where the rest including the groom from a side one.
Many girls in Czech Republic choose to get married in a castle and to be honest I never got it until now. We entered the room where the ceremony was going to take place and were welcomed by music played on piano and flute. After everyone had placed himself somewhere the Meyer of the city came and started his speech.
The bride came in the meanwhile. It was a very emotional moment. The brides dad was crying, I felt crying on several occasions...and one could see tears in the eyes of the majority of people around. After the rings were given to each other the new family went to some part of the castle for pictures and to the guests of the castle was offered sightseeing tour in the castle. Me and Martin left though.
We took a short walk in the garden where meanwhile had appeared sun.
After the castle we went to the restaurant where we spend the time till midnight maybe. I don't know how much I drank but today was hard day. Reason might be that yesterday all day was around 5,6 degrees...and I was walking with the outfit below whether covered with a jacket or a scarf...
Both me and Martin recover today but you guys stay tuned:P as there will be pics

Why are we surrounded by idiots and why are looks deceiving?
I feel like a 5 grader, naive kid who learns first lessons in life like...never borrow your expensive things or...never believe what people tell you...
In fact few years back I had meet a person who was (what word shall I use?!?) and was lying to me for every possible thing...seems I have forgotten my lesson
Now it makes me think. Am I stupid for allowing similar mistakes to happen or am I just an optimist.I would like to believe that it is the second option but as people say it's not bad to make mistakes but it's bad to repeat them. Excuse my lame translation:)
Story 1
I borrowed my bike to a girl I know. Few days later it turns out that she and her boyfriend are having some drama. He is keeping the bike and threatening her with throwing it away. She is telling me she'd rather buy me a new one than talk to him.
My side to the story 'it costs xxxx czk, if they have pink it's fine by me'.
Well, not really. I do a favor by borrowing my bike and what I get back is some drama and concern I might not get it back.
Lesson learned...never ever borrow something valuable which you are not ready to loose. The thought of loosing almost half of my salary, understand the bike, was making me unhappy.
P.S. I got my bike back but I still don't get why I got involved in this story...
Story 2
I had mentioned that it is a wedding season. This Saturday I am going to the first of three weddings. I was casually chatting with a guy I met on the hen party of bride to be. Reason for me chatting to him was that he was to Hochkar one week ago and I was inquiring about the snow conditions etc. After I came back I felt like bragging how it has been there. From word to word we came to speak about the bride to be and then he said 'oh, how will I get myself to the wedding' ...So I asked him if he had an invitation and after he had answered positively I offered him a ride.
Luckily this piece of information had reached the bride to be on time when I found out from her that he is actually not invited.
Consequence to his lie was me asking him again if he is sure he had invitation to which he answered 'yeah but not an email or sth just verbal invitation'...
I said that unfortunately there is no space in the care available and ended our conversation.
I am curious what will be tomorrow. Those two stories above in my opinion are demonstration of being punished for offering help.
On the other hand if we shut ourselves down and don't let anyone in or close we would also get rejected...so what's the conclusion? Anyone?

Last snowboarding for the season
Yesterday we returned from our trip - the last snowboarding for the season.
We went to Hochkar, Austria, 1400 meters above sea level.
The first two days the weather was too good:)
I wouldn't imagine I would be complaining from the sun, especially not long after the winter is gone...
We were dressed with our 3 layers but the sun was shining so much that after once down on the slope I thought I would faint from the heat...What bugged me the most was the ridiculous situation of being in the mountain surrounded by snow and dying out of heat:)))
Of course the snow got wet a lot and snowboarding became almost impossible...
The third and last day from +5 degrees and strong sunshine we were met by a stormy weather.
Strong wind, snow and no visibility...I got scared coz on the slope I wasn't able to tell where I am. I could see only white.
Here few pictures from where we stayed and the slopes.
